Get Out N Drive ~ Ep. 7
Hosts:
Shawn Sherrill & John Meyer with Producer Paul Meyer

Ride along as John & Shawn talk with Herb Clark, founder and president of the Archway Restoration Club (ARC) in St. Louis, Missouri and the Automotive Restoration Club (ARC) in Arizona, started to get kids & families involved with auto restoration.

Herb said, “If we are going to get kids involved, we need to get them involved at a very young age.” The Archway Restoration Club encourages involvement by going to events and making specific kid & family friendly activities involving cars including ride along events & hands on educational seminars.

The club is hosting the Twin Rivers Road Rally on 03/22/20. Modeled after The Great Race, the rally starts at Jim Butler Chevrolet in Fenton, MO. The course will be 70-90 miles & end in Catawissa, MO at the Lift Superstore. Corvettes, Model A’s and Classic Cars are already signed up to participate. Herb’s hoping to get cars with families to sign up to participate. All vehicles are encouraged to participate including classic cars, late model cars or mini vans with the whole family. Kids 15 and under are encouraged to participate.
***Important Show Note: 03/16/2020, This event has been postponed due to the current public health concerns.***

The guys share stories about driving, getting to drive different vehicles & automotive engineering & advancements…the good & the bad. Hear stories about the people who’ve shared their knowledge about cars & inspired them & the ways they’ve been able to share their passion for cars with others who might not get an opportunity to sit in or ride in an older car.
